Monday we left Iowa and drove 4 hours to Illinois to visit Nauvoo. There at Nauvoo we visited the Nauvoo Temple. We visited old Nauvoo that the early saints established. We visited the home of Joseph and Emma Smith, Brigham Young, and John Taylors home, and the final burial place of Joseph, Hyrum, and Emma Smith. We also took a horse and carriage ride through historic Nauvoo. One of the places we visited on this carriage ride was inspiration point that Joseph Smith liked to go to feel close to God. He had said this is the most beautiful place on earth. We look forward to the day we can go back to Nauvoo and see the other sites.
