Croft Ladies Come for a Visit

This October Kari (Tyler's sister) brought her girls to Austin.  We decided that 2 years was long enough for these girly cousins to be apart. They needed to get reaquainted.

And since they are young enough still, a 2 year gap in visits  pretty much means you meet each other like it's the first time.

Kari and I were confident that as soon as they exchanged a few shy "hi's" that they would be BFF's at first sight.

Although Mariah is a good head taller than Kaitlyn, she is younger. Kaitlyn is a talented gymnast and just as sweet as my girl. Lara who is a few months older than Harrison is spunky and kind hearted.

Didn't take long for us to become BFF's either.

Everyday when they woke up, they were excited to hear what fun plans were in store.

Aunt Kari won the hearts of my kids. Logan even begged to go home with her.

We decided to take them for a spin on a boat.

It was the girls' first time on a boat, and Kari's on a tube.

You would never know though, they were champs!

After taking all the kids for a ride, Kari and I rode together. The kids whooped and hollered for their mamas.

And so did we!

The kids ventured out into the woods and built forts.

When it was time to come home for dinner, Kari would blow the conche shell. I tried it a few times and sounded like a wounded calf. Did I mention she is handy to have around?

On the last day we let the kids guide us through the woods to their secret hide out. They found the perfect view, equipped with discarded furniture for our viewing pleasure.
